Why I use ShakeItPhoto on my iPhone.

The reasons that I use ShakeItPhoto as much as I do, and where to get it and the creation of it by Nick Cambell. I have been receiving a good amount of questions on why I use this app and where to get it and etc… so I decided I would post a blog about it with all the info you will ever need. Read more to get the facts!

SO I have another blog where I have been posting about my recent trip and move to Chicago Illinois. I am using a free plog posting site that rules by the name of posterous. This site is minimalistic and straight to the point and has a super clean design to it. Posterous allows up to update your blog simply by emailing the content to them and they do the rest of the work for you… simplistic values at their best. Oh so now for the reason that I am posting this today. I use Shake It Photo alot on that blog. I have had a couple people emailing me and asking what app this is and how they can get it and why do I use it so much and blah blah blah… well here is why.

1. ShakeItPhoto, is precise with its filtering technique. It is about as close as it gets to the realistic polarid look.

2. It gives a nice border, better yet a sweet stylistic border .. kind of a used and abused look much like a real polaroid does.

3. It has options so that you can apply the effect to any image you want from your Photo library on your iPhone. With that said say you see somethihng cool on the net while cruizin on your phone… you can save that image to your libary and then apply the ShakeItPhoto effect on it as well, or better yet pick a photo you like, and change the photo to black and white with some other app like camera bag or etc … then save that and apply the ShakeItPhoto effect on it. The results are always awesome and endless.

4. ShakeItPhoto was designed and thought up by a local Chicago artist/designer/animator/photographer by the name of Nick Cambell and well I have always felt that as a fellow designer it is important to support any endeavor or project that another fellow designer is working on. You can check out Nick Cambell and his work and tutorials on http://greyscalegorilla.com/blog/He does video blogs and will give you some insight on his entire process as he designs and figures things out with the industry and animation. He also has a couple posts about the process of making Shake It Photo come to life, from start to completion all the way to revenue and the process of getting it approved by Apple. Cool dude and awesome creative person to follow.

5. Last but not least I use ShakeItPhoto because… it makes anything look badass! I am not a photographer by any means… I have done the same thing as everyone else probably has .. and that is try to be a photographer at one point. Regardless with ShakeItPhoto I can point my iPhone camera and something and take a photo and boom! it comes out amazing and artistic! haha

So there are some of the reasons that I use ShakeItPhoto. If you dont have it yet go and buy it from the app store. I think its only like .99 cent or something ridiculous like that so you have no excuse. Go get it and start taking photos!
